Elizabeth V. Edwards School in Barnegat has seen so much paranormal activity that it was investigated by the Ghost Hunters in 2014. Strange occurrences include disembodied voices, pictures flying off of tables, and an inexplicable scent of chocolate arising from the second floor hallway. There is also a ghost who turns lights on and off, makes calls from the school phone, and turns off the security system. The school closed in 2004 and has been vacant ever since.

  • The school closed

This school closed in my area two years ago they knocked it down. Property is still there but they use it for school buses now and other town events. Unfortunately they took down the school because of its events and no uses for the building to still be up. Even though I think this school is considered a land mark and woulda been an awesome haunted house for viewers and people who are interested in that sorta thing!.
