Magee's West Side Tavern - Shore House
2114 Route 88
Point Pleasant, NJ 8742
Point Pleasant, NJ 8742
This tavern, also known as Shore House or West Point Hotel, was built in the 1800's and is rumored to be quite haunted. Glasses fall, windows break, and a witness was once locked in a closet by a prankster ghost. Perhaps there is truth to the legend surrounding the place about an 1846 shipwreck. Some say the building was used as a makeshift morgue following the disaster.
