Piscatawaytown Burial Ground saw its first two graves in 1693 when two brothers died from having eaten poisonous mushrooms. Over the years many more men and women have been buried here, including Revolutionary soldiers who are said to still haunt the grounds.

Piscatawaytown is said to be the final resting place of an 18th century witch. Mary More, who was accused of witchcraft and put to death in 1731, is still quite active around the cemetery. Her ghost will allegedly appear if you walk around her grave three times and spit; however, you may have trouble finding the burial site as two boys supposedly stole her headstone and hid it. The boys were cursed by Mary for stealing her stone and soon perished.
