Sketch Club Players Theatre
Woodbury, NJ 08096
Built in 1889 as the West End School, this building operated under its original purpose for many years before eventually being purchased by the Sketch Club Players in 1951 and converted into a community theater. Over the years, guests and theater members have witnesses a variety of paranormal happenings.
Witnesses have seen weird shadows and heard unusual voices; many also report feeling uneasy when they enter the basement. Actors in the second floor dressing room say they heard the sounds of a party happening in the adjoining room, but when they went to investigate they found no one to be there and the sounds to stop as soon as the door opened.
When local New Jersey Paranormal society visited the site, they were greeted with nothing but strange sounds and slamming doors. Although there was no electromagnetic evidence of paranormal activity, the visitors did describe these occurrences as un-explainable and unusual.
