Located next to the Union County Courthouse, Caldwell Parsonage was once home to Reverend James Caldwell and his wife, Hannah. Hannah was shot by British soldiers and, one year later, Caldwell was murdered as well. The building is now a museum, and is said to be haunted by Hannah, who has also been seen in the Union County Courthouse.

Your location of the Caldwell Parsonage is incorrect

Rev. James Caldwell, his wife Hannah and their 9 children did live in the parsonage of the First Presbyterian Church of Elizabeth, which is next door to the Union County Courthouse in Elizabeth. The British burned it to the ground, and the family was then invited to live in the Connecticut Farms Presbyterian Church Parsonage in what is now Union, NJ. The Caldwell Parsonage in Union is a reconstruction of the Parsonage that was there during the Revolution, when Hannah Caldwell was shot inside the house on June 7, 1780.
I have toured the Caldwell Parsonage and felt very dizzy and nauseous while on the stairs and in the rooms of the upper level. Felt like I needed to hold on tight to the banister coming down, for fear I would be pushed by whatever was making me feel so sick. Once on the first floor, I was fine again!
