What's new at Willowbrook Terror Walk-Through for 2025? Do you have any new rides, attractions, or special features that Haunt Seekers should know about?

Every year is different. I cant give away too much which would spoil the fun but we try to stay with the times of what is popular.
This year however will be the first walk-through that has the same concurrent theme running through all 5 rooms.
Last year was FNAF and terrifer. 2023 was Poppys playtime.

What are you most excited about for the 2025 Halloween Season?

Every year is exciting because we're starting to gain traction around the neighborhood of being THE halloween house. We offer full candy bars which the kids love and the parents appreciate the effort we put into each year.

What differentiates Willowbrook Terror Walk-Through from other local haunts in New Jersey?

Well first we're free on Halloween.
We focus on changing the themes each year and try to stay ahead of what's popular. We're very proud that we do rooms before the big theme parks do. Might not be as good of quality but it's just me, my brother and some friends.

How long has Willowbrook Terror Walk-Through been in business? Can you tell us a bit more about Willowbrook Terror Walk-Through's history?

We started in 2008. Just me and my friend. We acted as mannequins and would pop out. The next year we did a small walk-through and incorporated fog and strobes. Each year we just kept building. It's almost too big now as setup and breakdown can take days.

What's your favorite experience since opening Willowbrook Terror Walk-Through?

The best would be just seeing the lines of people and having people keep going back in. They genuinely enjoy it. At least in our area, I feel people dont go out of their way to make halloween special and fun like it was when I was growing up. These was always a couple of houses that just made my night and we try to be that house for the kids.

How long is a typical haunt experience at Willowbrook Terror Walk-Through from start to finish?

Maybe 2-4 minutes depending on the speed of people walking. . We only allow 4 people in at a time to control the scares. Plus that wait builds to the excitement. We usually have actors or scenes playing out front to entertain before walking in.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how scary would you say Willowbrook Terror Walk-Through is? Why?

Each year is different and people are scared by different things. However we have an welcome person which will gauge if the people can handle and radio back to the team to lower the scares if needed, so I think we can vary from a 2 to a 7.

Does Willowbrook Terror Walk-Through's property have any real haunted history? Do you have a spooky encounter you'd like to share?

None that I'm aware of.

What inspired you to open up a haunted attraction? What's your favorite part of the business?

My family and friends just love halloween. We love scaring people

How has new technology (i.e. animatronics, special props, etc) helped you to enhance Willowbrook Terror Walk-Through?

Animatronics are good but we don't use them often.
Real people I feel are scarier and can adapt. We've incorporated lasers and various lighting/audio effects which are always a crowd pleaser.
Getting several 3d printers has helped in so many ways. We're not bound by buying store bought masks or paying a lot of money on etsy to get something created. It took 6 months but last year I printed, painted and wore a Freddy Fazbear costume. It was incredibly hot and weighted about 40 lbs but it worked great. Also we can print weapons, decor and anything else we need.

Can Willowbrook Terror Walk-Through accommodate large groups? How many people can experience Willowbrook Terror Walk-Through together as a group?

We only handle 4 people at a time. We could have a running line but being forced through a halloween walk is a pet peeve of mine. The owners put so much work into the haunt, I just want to appreciate the little things, like having a textured wall. I like taking it all in.

Does Willowbrook Terror Walk-Through offer any special deals, discounts, or coupons?

We're free so I think that's as good as we can get.

We'll keep doing this for as long as we can. We still have way too much fun doing the walkthrough every year.
